Surrounded by abundant vegetation and the clear water mirror from zezere lake, Tasquinha ao Rio is located on Praia Fluvial de Fontes, Cabeça Ruiva, in the municipality of Abrantes a corner from Castelo de Bode lake, which favors the relaxation, silence, the natural beauty and the surrounding nautical activities.
Operating since 2018, we intend to offer a welcoming space with an ideal atmosphere to gather with friends, family and adventurers with whom you can enjoy unique and perfect moments, we seek to create a community by providing the experiences to bringing people together in a local entertainment center with a unique atmosphere,
The whole concept of this space is Eco-Friendly, we do not use disposable plastic, we take the utmost care and warn that the impact on the surrounding nature as small as possible, we practice a sustainable operation, we are certified by the Biosphere international organization for sustainable tourism, and all vegetable production is 100% organic and cultivated in our garden where everything is 100% natural, as well as, for example, the olive oil used in the preparation of our dishes is 100% organic, coming from our olive grove. These are some of our peculiarities, which we do not dispense with in favor of healthy food and sustainable tourism.
Tasquinha ao Rio - Praia Fluvial de Fontes, is awarded the blue flag and is accessible to people with reduced mobility, the space is equipped with a 1.30 m deep floating pool, bar - lounge, car parking, bicycle parking, toilets, private marina for boats and various activities.
The Lounge Tasquinha ao Rio bar allows you to enjoy light meals ideal for the summer, with a vegetarian option, homemade snacks or enjoy a cool drink in the company of friends and family.
We have a series of activities so you can have fun in a wide range of offers such as kayaking, paddle boarding, wakeboarding etc.

Tasquinha ao Rio sees good sustainability practices as an influencing factor in the community where it operates, as an example to follow and transmitting another awareness of environmental resources and the use of the surrounding space.
Being aware of the importance of maintaining sustainable tourism development, and assuming the principles specifically adopted in the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism, Tasquinha ao Rio undertakes to carry out a sustainable management of its activities, through the adoption of commitments aimed at prevent, eliminate or reduce the impact of our installations and activities, both internal and external, as well as optimize the sustainability of the establishment by improving its behavior towards the environment.
For this purpose, Tasquinha ao Rio has adopted the following responsible tourism policy, whereby it undertakes to comply with the requirements established in the Biosphere Responsible Tourism framework, which includes, among other things, the legal requirements that regulate the effects generated by the activity tourist.
Therefore, we commit to:
•Motivate and train our employees with training and awareness actions on the principles of Responsible Tourism;
•To promote good environmental practices and participate in external activities, and to inform both internally and externally about the company's environmental advances and actions;
•Fight against gende exploitation, or any other form of exploitation and commercial harassment, in particular of children, adolescents, women and minorities;
• We also include the commitment to adopt accessibility measures for people with disabilities (sensory, physical, intellectual and psychological).
One of our main objectives is to improve sustainable management, assuming commitments to continuous improvement in all areas of sustainability: social, economic and environmental, as well as customer satisfaction. To this end, future projects to expand facilities or activities will be subject to criteria of sustainability and efficient use of resources.
